Psychological Medicine Section

A Welcome from Director, Kimberly Yonkers, MD

Welcome to the Yale Psychological Medicine Section website. I’d like invite you to explore our site to learn about how we are striving to develop a state-of-art academic behavioral health service that encompasses both outpatient and inpatient services with tripartite mission of clinical care, education and research.

The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine programs at Yale New Haven Hospital have had a long and distinguished history since their inception. Since 2011, we have re-organized all consultative and collaborative psychiatry programs at the Yale New Haven Hospital at the York Street Campus and the St. Raphael Campus under one umbrella of the Yale Psychological Medicine with the goal of striving to deliver integrated care to medico-surgical patients with behavioral symptoms.

The overarching goal of the Yale Psychological Medicine Section is to "move the field forward" to better the lives of medico-surgical patients with psychiatric comorbidity. Our specific aims can be summarized in three domains: clinical programs, educational programs, and research programs.
