Research
Overview
As a hospitalist physician dedicated to the clinical care of inpatients, my research projects have centered on the outcomes of clinical initiatives. Recent work has produced rigorous analyses of the impact of medical comanagement of orthopedic, neurosurgical and cancer patients. My research collaborations have evaluated the impact of such programs on length of stay, readmissions, discharge disposition, inpatient and 30-day mortality.
