Faculty and trainees from across Connecticut assemble at the Yale Center for RNA Science and Medicine’s 7th Annual Retreat

September 25, 2018

On Friday, September 21, 2018, faculty and trainees convened at Yale’s West Campus for the Yale Center for RNA Science and Medicine’s 7th Annual Retreat. Participants hailed from across Yale’s three campuses, UConn Health, and The Jackson Laboratories to share research progress from more than 50 research laboratories studying various aspects of RNA biology and medicine.

Thank you to all of our speakers who shared their research progress with our community. Thank you also to all of our trainees who shared their work with us at the poster session, and congratulations to Dani Widner (Ron Breaker Lab) and Aziz Eshov (Junjie Guo Lab) who both received our top poster prize.

Congratulations also to Taylor Adams and Jonas Schupp from the Kaminski Lab for their submission of our official annual retreat logo. A description of the logo design can now be found on our Annual Retreat page.

Finally, thank you to the retreat organizers, Vicky Luo and Carson Thoreen, and RNA Center Director, Karla Neugebauer for putting together this scholarly forum for the exchange of ideas that will help guide future advances in RNA biology and its application to the medical interventions and disease therapeutics of the future.
