Biography

Anson graduated from Yale and afterwards spent a year working closely with Dr. Petersen in developing multiple clinical projects involving monitoring patients affected by stroke using transcranial Doppler (TCD) and near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS), and analyzing data using ICM+, MATLAB, and SPSS. In particular, he studied the effects of blood pressure reductions during endovascular therapy following ischemic stroke on clinical outcomes. His contributions were foundationally critical to the ongoing work of YCVL. Anson shared his work at several national and international conferences and co-authored a review article on cerebral autoregulation in the neurologic intensive care unit. He stays in close touch with YCVL as a current medical student at Weill Cornell.
