Research Projects
Ongoing projects in the lab focus on examining cigarette and e-cigarette use among youth and adults and studying interventions that have broad reach, including in areas of tobacco policy, mobile health interventions, and treatment implementation.
Ongoing research activities include:
- Investigating factors associated with initiation, switching, and cessation of cigarettes and e-cigarettes to inform tobacco treatment and policy
- Developing and testing the use of mobile technology and wearable biosensors to provide real-time assessment of tobacco use and in-the-moment treatment
- Using clinical trial designs to study the effects of potential tobacco regulatory policies, including the impact of flavors, nicotine concentration, and tobacco product type on smoking behavior
- Examining ways to expand access to smoking cessation services through treatment implementation in specialized medical and community settings
