Research Projects

Ongoing projects in the lab focus on examining cigarette and e-cigarette use among youth and adults and studying interventions that have broad reach, including in areas of tobacco policy, mobile health interventions, and treatment implementation.

Ongoing research activities include:

  1. Investigating factors associated with initiation, switching, and cessation of cigarettes and e-cigarettes to inform tobacco treatment and policy
  2. Developing and testing the use of mobile technology and wearable biosensors to provide real-time assessment of tobacco use and in-the-moment treatment
  3. Using clinical trial designs to study the effects of potential tobacco regulatory policies, including the impact of flavors, nicotine concentration, and tobacco product type on smoking behavior
  4. Examining ways to expand access to smoking cessation services through treatment implementation in specialized medical and community settings
