by Meran Liu '16

Meran Liu, an Ezra Stiles junior in the Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology program, gained firsthand experience with histological techniques used to understand mechanisms of consciousness in neurological disorders like epilepsy. The Blumenfeld Lab, part of the Department of Neurology at Yale School of Medicine, investigates parts of the brain when consciousness is impaired by epileptic seizures. This video was produced as part of Yale University course MCDB 303L, Spring 2015.
