Biography
Dr. Fiszdon is Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine and the Director of Psychosocial Rehabilitation Psychology Services at VA Connecticut Healthcare System (VACHS). Dr. Fiszdon obtained a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from University of Minnesota in 2000, and completed a Clinical Psychology post-doctoral fellowship at Weill Medical College of Cornell University/New York Presbyterian Hospital in 2002. Her research focuses on clinical trials developing, tailoring, and evaluating social cognitive, cognitive, and vocational interventions for individuals with serious mental illness and/or substance use. She has received grant funding from VA Rehabilitation Research and Development Service as well as NIMH. She is the coordinator for the VACHS General Mental Health-Serious Mental Illness (GMH-SMI) predoctoral internship track. She is also an active member of the VACHS Institutional Review Board and the Chair of the VACHS Research and Development Committee.
