Overview
Jay K. Pahade, MD, is an abdominal radiologist and vice chair of quality and safety in the Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging, where patients have access to some of the newest and most effective diagnostic tests and treatments, many of which are not available elsewhere.
“Radiologists are often the doctors that first detect a cancer, figure out what stage the cancer is, and assess the response of the cancer to the treatment that patient is receiving,” Dr. Pahade says. “For me, helping to take care of patients and providing high quality, accurate, and meaningful clinical consultations has always been the favorite aspect of my job.”
He works closely with a team of colleagues in interventional radiology, oncology, gynecology, gastroenterology, and surgery. “Yale Medicine and Yale New Haven Health System work seamlessly together, led by doctors that are experts at what we do,” says Dr. Pahade. Dr. Pahade is an associate professor of radiology and biomedical imaging at Yale School of Medicine.
