Felipe Lopez, MD, a pulmonologist, specializes in caring for critically ill patients in the hospital, managing cases that range from complex, multiorgan failure to severe infections that can lead to sepsis, a life-threatening condition caused when the body’s response to infection injures its own tissues and organs.
