Biography
I am an alumnus of the Joyce & Irving Goldman Medical School at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. Upon my graduation, I pursued and completed a Pediatric residency at the Ruth Rappaport Children's Hospital, Rambam Health Care Campus, Haifa, Israel. Following the successful completion of my residency and board examinations, I was honored with the Israel Board certification in Pediatrics by the State of Israel in February 2018.
Subsequent to my certification, I served as an Attending Physician at Rappaport Children's Hospital, dedicating my skills both to the pediatrics service and the emergency department. Concurrently, I embraced the role of a primary care pediatric physician within a community setting, further diversifying my clinical experience.
In June 2020, I relocated to the USA and embarked on a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at Yale University/Yale New Haven Hospital, culminating in June 2023. This advanced training period was enriched by my selection for the "Fellows as Medical Educators" (FAME) program, which equipped me with nuanced pedagogical skills for engaging diverse audiences and delivering constructive feedback. My professional growth during this period was recognized with the Israel Board certification in Pediatric Pulmonology, awarded by the State of Israel in July 2023.
Beyond my core pediatric training, I have been certified as a Diving Doctor by the Israeli Naval Medical Institute, specializing in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. This specialized training encompassed comprehensive learning about the Decompression Chamber's structure and operation, associated risks, and the prevalent dangers of recreational and sport diving injuries. As a Diving Doctor, I am authorized to evaluate divers pre-dive medically and to operate within a Decompression Chamber to address injuries such as Decompression Sickness and Carbon Monoxide poisoning.
I am currently a second-year Pediatric resident at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
