  • Medical Abortion Training for Internal Medicine Residents
    • Very little training or education is given to internal medicine residents on how to perform medical abortions or counsel patients on the medications used in a medical abortion. We often shift these patient issues off to other specialties, when in fact they can be addressed in the primary care setting in early pregnancy. Having training in this area would allow our patients to have increased access to abortion and lead to an increase of potential abortion providers and providing locations.
