Biography
Matteo Conte is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at Yale University, where he hopes to continue his medical training. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Padova, Italy, with a thesis focused on spontaneous intracranial hypotension. His academic journey includes a research traineeship at the renowned Mayo Clinic in Minnesota and clinical externships across the United States.
Before joining Yale, Dr. Conte worked as a primary care physician in Italy, serving the community of Romano d’Ezzelino, a small town at the foothills of Monte Grappa.
His current research focuses on catheter-directed therapies for the treatment of pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis. He investigates imaging-based outcome prediction, procedural technique optimization, and vascular segmentation to improve treatment strategies and long-term patient outcomes.
