Biography

Josiane Mumukunde Alix is a first-year MPH student in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences pursuing a concentration in Global Health at the Yale School of Public Health. She graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelors in Biological Sciences. She is passionate about health equity, especially in low- and middle-income countries like her native Rwanda. Her academic and professional interests center around intergenerational trauma, global mental health practice and policy, strengthening health systems, and emergency preparedness.
