Christopher Dussik, MED ’21 | Arizona State University, BS Class of 2015
I was drawn to the Yale School of Medicine by the quality of its faculty and alumni, its dedication to treating the whole patient, and the Yale System, which allows students the freedom to explore their interests and grow as individuals. Please accept my gratitude for giving me the opportunity to join your community.
Nida Naushad, MED ’20 | Harvard University, BA Class of 2014
The past ten months have been testing and tiring at times, but I have learned way more than I could have ever imagined, and I have met people whose stories will stick with me for a long time to come. As someone who has enjoyed every aspect of every rotation, I plan on taking a fifth year to explore my clinical and research interests.
Being surrounded by so many kind, brilliant providers is inspiring, and I strive to emulate those values on a daily basis. Financial aid means I don’t have to worry about finances and can focus on learning how to be an excellent provider. I hope to be a source of comfort, knowledge, support, and excellent care for my patients. I also hope to help create programs or policies that can improve health care or health outcomes on a community level.
Thank you for this scholarship. None of this would be possible without you.
Waleed Khan, MED ’22 | University of Toronto, BS Class of 2018
I am fascinated by emergency medicine. My interest stems from the fact that the emergency room is the first point of contact with the health care system for many disenfranchised people in the United States.
For this reason, I am really interested in implementing and improving best practices in the emergency department to better streamline and personalize the experience for incoming patients.
