Marney A. White, PhD, MS, is a clinical psychologist, specializing in eating and weight disorders. In addition to her appointment as Associate Professor in Psychiatry, she has a secondary appointment in Chronic Disease Epidemiology in the School of Public Health. Dr. White's research focus is on weight and eating problems, with particular emphasis on the interaction of tobacco use with eating disorders and weight concerns. Current projects focus on the influence of smoking on factors related to binge eating, specifically the influence of cigarette smoking on food cravings and emotional eating.
