Biography

Lily Hsieh graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BSc in Pharmacology and she received her MPH in Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases at the Yale School of Public Health. Her current work involves using mathematical modeling tools to assess policy alternatives for TB prevention in Malawi. She hopes to pursue research that combines disease modeling and decision sciences to better understand the spread of infectious diseases and to design effective intervention programs. She was awarded the Dean's Prize for her MPH thesis: "An evaluation of 6-month versus continuous isoniazid preventive therapy for M. tuberculosis in adults and adolescents living with HIV/AIDS in Malawi: A modeling study."
