FEI Tecnai G2 Spirit BioTWIN
This Lab6 emission, 80 kV microscope is optimized for examining biological specimen with either plastic or cryo sections, and routine negative stained samples. It is equipped with a SIS Morada 11 megapixel CCD camera. The setup provides quick viewing on a large area and good quality and contrast digital imaging.
FEI Tecnai G2 Spirit TWIN (T12)
The LaB6 emission, 120 kV microscope can operated at both room temperature or cryo modes, it is suitable for applications such as sample screening in negative staining, particle recongnition and analysis in material, and cryo EM imaging. It is equipped with a Gatan has an UltraScan 4000 (4k x 4k) CCD camera, and a TV-camera.
FEI Tecnai F20 Cryo EM
The FEI Tecnai F20 microscope has a Schottky Field Emission source and operates at 200 kV, equipped with a Gatan K2 Summit Direct Detection Camera and an UltraScan 4000 (4k x4k) CCD camera. It is dedicated for high-resolution single particle imaging and cryo electron tomography. There are multiple Gatan cryo holders available along with a FEI room-temperate holder.
The facility also provides access to SGI graphics workstations and maintains image processing software packages for single particle and electron crystallographic applications. Access to the Yale supercomputer network is also available.
FEI Tecnai G2 F20 XT X-TWIN (TF20 TOMO)
The 200kV FEI Tecnai F20 X-Twin with a Schottky field emitter is designed to produce optimal high resolution performance in both TEM and STEM. This microscope features a 4k x 4k Eagle CCD camera. It equipped with a high angle annular dark-filed (HAADF) detector, and an EDAX Pulse processor. The setup uses FEI Xplore3D software for electron tomography data acquisition. We have a 30 degree tilt FEI double-tilt holder, and a 70 degree high-tilt tomography holder,
