    Biography

    Dr. Liao is a postdoctoral associate in Dr. Ira Hall's lab at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in pangenomics, structural variant detection, and bioinformatics tool development. His research focuses on advancing genomic methods to better understand genetic diversity and its implications for health and disease. As a member of the Human Pangenome Reference Consortium, Dr. Liao has contributed to the development and refinement of the human pangenome reference, a resource that addresses the limitations of traditional linear genome models.
