Core Laboratory Services
YCCI’s core laboratory services provide investigators with access to selected analyses and procedures that might otherwise be unavailable or too expensive.
The lab provides more than 40 different tests. In addition to offering point-of-care glucose (clia license), lactate and ethanol measurements, the lab features a large facility capable of analyzing a variety of hormones utilizing RIA, IRMA, and ELISA techniques, an automated laboratory capable of measuring most routine substrates and clinical enzymes utilizing an Alfa-Wasserman ACE analyzer, and the capability of analyzing most cytokines and tissue markers using a UV/VIS plate reader. The sample processing core provides standard refrigerated centrifugation, freezer storage options to –70°, computerized labeling, and assistance with sample packaging for shipping.
