Core Laboratory Services
YCCI’s Core Laboratory assists in the clinical trials process by ensuring that biospecimens from study participants are processed and stored until submission by the study teams to the appropriate laboratory for analysis. Core laboratory staff members can provide on-site specimen processing services at any YCCI clinic location. PBMC processing can also be accommodated at the CSRU and West Campus locations.
The Core Laboratory also offers long term -80C storage of research samples in a secure freezer farm. If your samples require storage longer than 5 years, Core Lab has liquid nitrogen storage capacity to minimize metabolite degradation.
Additionally, Core Laboratory staff can retrieve, prepare, and deliver samples via courier to contracted reference laboratories for analysis. The staff is available for consultation regarding test performance and logistics issues.
Hours of Operation
Samples are accepted for processing Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:00pm.
If your study requires processing outside of these standard hours, please notate those needs when you submit the YCCI Intake Form.
