Damla Senturk, PhD, is Associate Professor in the UCLA Departments of Biostatistics and Statistics and a senior consulting faculty member in the Semel Institute Biostatisticas Core (SIStat). She received her Ph.D. in statistics from the University of California, Davis. Dr. Senturk's main methodological research areas are in longitudinal and functional data analysis, with a focus on building regression models for high-dimensional data and examining dynamical relationships among longitudinal trajectories. Specific applications of her work include modeling of social cognition markers in 22q.11.2 microdeletion syndrome, clinical symptoms of psychosis, and neural correlates of visual learning in autismbspectrum disorders. In particular she has been working recently with Dr. Sugar and Dr. Jestebbto develop novel methodologies for processing and analyzing EEG data, using functional data analysis methods to maximize retention of longitudinal information across trials within tasks.
