2nd Annual Yale Center for Clinical Investigation Scholar Day Retreat

YCCI will host the Second Annual Yale Center for Clinical Investigation Scholar Day Retreat on Friday March 1, 2013. Our speaker this year is Ray Dolan, Mary Kinross Professor of Neuropsychiatry at University College London (UCL) and Director of the Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging at UCL. Professor Dolan will be speaking on Advice for Aspiring Investigators.

Open to all trainees in the Schools of Medicine, Nursing and Public Health, this half-day event will also feature poster presentations from scholars, as well as short oral presentations from a number of scholars and trainees. All attendees will have the opportunity to submit an abstract for a poster or oral presentation. Additional details, including registration information and instructions for submitting abstracts, will be available on the YCCI website.

Professor Dolan is the author of 400 original papers and is ranked as one of the most cited scientists in the world in the field of Neuroscience and Behaviour. He is the recipient of numerous awards and prizes including an Alexander Von Humboldt Research International Research Award for Outstanding Scholars (2004), the Kenneth Craik Research Award (2006), the Minerva Foundation Golden Brain Award (2006) and the prestigious International Max Planck Research Award (2007). In 2010 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS). His research is concerned with a neurobiological characterisation of human emotion and how it interacts with other components of cognition, particularly attention, memory and decision making.
