YSM's Clinical Research Quarterly, Winter 2017 Faculty Dinner, will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, Cohen Auditorium, Child Study Center, 230 South Frontage Rd.
The topic, "Yale's Translational Resources and Strategies for Value Creation and Mitigation of Commercial Risk" will be presented by David Lewin, PhD, Senior Associate Director of Licensing, Office of Cooperative Research and Erika Smith, MBA, Director of the Blavatnik Fund for Innovation at Yale.
Discussion of:
- Integration of translational resources with basic research activities – coordination and timing for commercialization through partnerships
- Identifying and overcoming barriers to engaging a commercial partner to mature early stage discoveries; what constitutes risk?
- Case studies: time, effort, and treasure required to engage commercial partners.
