Today’s research landscape is fraught with requirements that can be both confusing and onerous. Academic medical centers have had to devote resources to resolving FDA audit and faculty misconduct issues that have also damaged their reputations. In an effort to help investigators navigate the complexities of conducting clinical research, YCCI is sponsoring a series of presentations on relevant research issues from the faculty perspective. Titled "Conducting Clinical Trials: Lessons Learned and Useful Tips," the symposia will feature presenters from academic medical centers that have learned from their firsthand experience with FDA audits, financial conflicts, and negative press related to clinical research. Presenters will share lessons learned and discuss the policies and structures they have put in place to support best practices in research. The talks will take place throughout the fall as follows:
