Sinha Recognized for Her Outstanding Scientific Contributions to the Alcohol Field

Rajita Sinha, PhD, Foundations Fund Endowed Professor of Psychiatry, and Professor in Neuroscience and of Child Study, received the 2020 Research Society on Alcoholism Distinguished Researcher Award for her outstanding scientific contributions to the alcohol field.

The award honors Sinha for her sustained long-term commitment to conducting alcohol research and with substantial impact on the field.

The Research Society on Alcoholism serves as a meeting ground for scientists in the broad areas of alcoholism and alcohol-related problems. The Society promotes research and the acquisition and dissemination of scientific knowledge.

Sinha is Director of the Yale Stress Center and Chief of the Psychology Section in the Yale Department of Psychiatry.
