Interview with Dr. Nathan A. Fox, 2020 Gesell Lecture Visiting Professor, about COVID-19

May 01, 2020

Earlier this week we published a three-part series highlighting the groundbreaking work by Nathan A. Fox, PhD, Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Human Development and Quantitative Methodology at the University of Maryland, who is the 2020 Gesell Lecture Visiting Professor (read Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3). Dr. Fox will deliver the Fourth Annual Gesell Lectures on Lifespan Development, co-sponsored by the Yale Child Study Center, the YSM Department of Pediatrics, the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation, and the Yale University Department of Psychology, in person when it is safe to visit campus. In this video, Amanda M. Dettmer, PhD, Associate Research Scientist in the Yale Child Study Center, interviews Dr. Fox to ask questions about his research and expertise in the context of COVID-19: Is the COVID-19 pandemic an early life adversity? Are there some children we should be looking out for more during this time? What can parents and caregivers do if they are concerned about their children?
