Needed: Co-Director of Medical Student Research

Nominations are being accepted for the position of co-director of Medical Student Research in the Department of Internal Medicine. A candidate with a strong track record of achievement in basic science research is sought to replace Erica Herzog, MD, PhD, who has served in this role since 2011.

The appointee will complement the clinical research expertise of Marcella Nunez-Smith, MD, MHS, who has served as co-director since 2016.

The incoming appointee will collaborate with Nunez-Smith to both oversee the thesis process for students in Internal Medicine and serve as the departmental liaison for the Office of Student Research at Yale School of Medicine. Administrative assistance is provided for this effort.

The ability to organize, adhere to deadlines, and communicate effectively with students and mentors is a critical aspect of this position which receives 5% salary support from the department and will start effective January 1, 2020.
