PET Imaging of Microglia with [11C]PBR28 in Opioid Dependent and Healthy Control Subjects

What is the purpose of this trial?

This study aims to examine inflammation processes in the brain (neuroinflammatory and microglia markers). The proposed study will fill a major gap in our understanding of opioid addiction. The study entails a screening, mri, and PET scans. This study may also include an inpatient or outpatient treatment with buprenorphine maintenance therapy for opioid dependent participants.
