Emotional development in infants at risk for ASD

What is the purpose of this trial?

Who?

  • Pregnant mothers who have a family member with autism
  • Newborns and infants under the age of 4 months who have a family member with autism

What?

  • Studies of social, emotional, and cognitive development from birth through 24 months

Why?

  • Discover processes contributing to development of autism in infants and help to improve their long-term outcomes

What Else?

  • This study is free of cost to families
  • Families are compensated up to $300 for study participation
  • Trial with
    National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)
  • Ages
    4 months and younger
  • Gender
    Both
