Synaptic Density PET tracer evaluation

Conditions

Mental Health & Behavioral Research | Alzheimer's Disease

What is the purpose of this trial?

You are invited to take part in a research study designed to evaluate the number of synapses, tau pathology, glucose metabolism, beta amyloid accumulation in the brain in Alzheimer’s disease and in healthy aging using positron emission tomography (PET) scans. In this way, we hope to better understand how the brain may change in people with Alzheimer’s disease.  You are being asked to take part because you are between 55-90 years of age and may have dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease.
