Tariq Ahmad, MD, MPH, FACC

Biography

I am a board certified assistant professor in the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine. My focus in the care of patients with advanced heart failure, left ventricular assist devices, and cardiac transplantation. My clinical training began at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston. During that time, I was awarded a fellowship to get a Masters in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. Next, I completed a fellowship in general cardiology and advanced heart failure at Duke University Medical Center. I also completed a 2 year fellowship in cardiovascular research at the Duke Clinical Research Institute, the worlds largest Academic Research Organization. I am actively involved in numerous research studies in heart failure, ranging from translational research involving novel biomarkers, to registries, and clinical trials.
