That experience led her to pursue a career in medicine and conduct research that focuses on vulnerable populations and their interactions with healthcare systems.

Associate Director of Clinical Trial Resources

Kelly Anastasio is the associate director of clinical trial resources and oversees recruitment and development . Prior to joining YCCI, she spent six years as clinical research and reimbursement manager in the Department of Orthopaedics, where she was responsible for managing clinical trial activity including budget development, contract negotiations, clinical trials matrix, and operational flow.

Rhoda Z. Arzoomanian, MSM, BSN, RN, joined Yale in 2014 as Associate Director of YCCI and Yale Cancer Center. A nationally recognized expert in cancer clinical research, clinical trials databases, and the management of an NCI-designated cancer center, Ms. Arzoomanian has over 25 years of clinical research experience.

Alyssa Gateman, MPH, CCRP, is a recognized and respected QA expert who brings a wealth of experience to Yale’s QA team. She joined Yale from the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center, where she most recently served as director of the Quality Assurance Office for Clinical Trials (QACT).

Thomas T. Fogg, MS, MPH, is the Associate Director for Workforce Development at the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation. His primary responsibilities include oversight and support of programs and projects in clinical and translational research education for faculty, staff and students, including the Junior Faculty Scholars career development program, the Investigative Medicine PhD program, the Multidisciplinary Predoctoral Training Program in Translational Research, and others.

Sandra Trevino-Ranalli recently joined the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI) as Associate Director for Community Research.  In her role, she is responsible for the development and updating of the strategic long-range plans for the Yale's community engagement activities to support clinical research at Yale to promote bi-directional  collaborations between the clinical researchers and community partners.
