Research Recruitment is supported through methods ranging from self-service tools like SlicerDicer to collaborative efforts with Yale’s Research Informatics Office (RIO) to develop customized recruitment tools. Patient screening reports search patients in the Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) and identify potential matches based on eligibility criteria. MyChart Direct to Patient Recruitment invites patients to participate in research studies using the Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) MyChart Patient Portal! MyChart Direct to Patient Recruitment invites patients to participate in research studies directly through the (YNHHS) MyChart Patient Portal. Yale’s Research Informatics Office (RIO) “sends” a MyChart message to all patients identified as potentially eligible for a study. Patients respond to the MyChart message with their level of interest, and the study team is simultaneously notified so they can contact a potential enrollee.
