Fiellin to head Yale College program to curb harm from alcohol, drugs
Dr. Lynn Fiellin has been appointed as director of the Alcohol and Other Drug Harm Reduction Initiative (AODHRI) at Yale College, according an announcement by Dean Jonathan Holloway. Fiellin, who assumed her new role on June 1, is an associate professor of medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine and the Yale Child Study Center. She is founder and director of the play2PREVENT Lab at the Yale Center for Health & Learning Games, a program at the School of Medicine in which she and her team develop and evaluate evidence-based videogame interventions for health and education in youth and young adults.

Carolyn Mazure, PhD has been named to a new endowed professorship that provides permanent leadership for Women's Health Research at Yale. Mazure is the inaugural Norma Weinberg Spungen and Joan Lebson Bildner Professor of Women's Health Research at Yale, endowed by a leadership gift from Elisa Spungen Bildner, Yale '75, and Robert Bildner, Yale '72, which complements gifts from other donors and a foundation that chose to remain anonymous.

Anthony J. Koleske, PhD, professor of molecular biophysics and biochemistry and neuroscience, assumes the role of deputy dean for scientific affairs (basic science departments) effective April 1, 2020. Koleske succeeds Michael Crair, PhD, William Ziegler III Professor of Neuroscience and professor of ophthalmology and visual science, who steps into the role of Yale University's vice provost for research.
Hoffman Named New Director of Mental Health & Counseling at Yale Health
Paul Hoffman, PhD, has been named the new Director of Mental Health & Counseling at Yale Health. He succeeds Lorraine Siggins, MD, who retired last year after three decades as director. Hoffman served for five months as Interim Director before being appointed to the position full time in February. He previously worked as Associate Chief for Clinical Affairs.
