Physician Biography

Dr. Njeri Thande received her Internal Medicine training at the New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University in New York City and her Cardiovascular Medicine training at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Before coming to Yale, she was an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at Albert Einstein Medical School/Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, NY. She has a special interest in echocardiography and general cardiology, with a special focus on prevention and cardiovascular disease in patients with HIV. Her practice emphasizes addressing the social and economic determinants of cardiac health.
