Dr. Ryan Kaple graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree from Yale School of Medicine, where he graduated with honors. He completed his internship and internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He subsequently held fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell, during which time he served as chief cardiology fellow. Dr. Kaple is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, and interventional cardiology.

After completing his fellowship, Dr. Kaple served as an attending physician at Westchester Medical Center and assistant professor of medicine at New York Medical College. At Westchester Medical Center, Dr. Kaple oversaw the transcatheter valve programs and is a recognized leader in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement and catheter based mitral valve repair. His research on valvular heart disease has been the subject of numerous publications and international presentations.

Dr. Kaple is a member of the Yale Interventional Cardiology Group and Structural Heart Disease Program, with the aim of continuing to advance the internationally recognized Yale Structural Heart Disease Program and the ongoing clinical and academic pursuits in this field.
