Biography
Bryan Young, MD, PhD received his MD from UTSouthwestern Medical School in Dallas,TX, and a PhD at UTSouthwestern’s Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, working in the field of cardiac genetics in the laboratory of Dr. Eric Olson. He trained in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he remained for cardiology training in Yale’s fellowship. He was post-doctoral research fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Jeffrey Bender, working in the area of inflammatory molecular biology in the cardiovascular system. He is now a clinician in the Yale University section of cardiovascular medicine and the nuclear cardiology imaging lab at Yale-New Haven Hospital, as well as a clinician in the VA Connecticut healthcare system. His academic interests include basic, translational, and clinical research in cardiac imaging and inflammatory biology. He was a recipient of the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research 2018-2020 Research Fellowship.
