Angela Kang, MD, MPH


Dr. Angela Kang-Giaimo graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine where she received her MD and MPH degrees. She completed her residency training at the Yale Internal Medicine Primary Care Program and stayed on as a Chief Resident. She then joined the teaching faculty of the Yale-Waterbury Internal Medicine Residency Program from 2018-2021.

She rejoined the Yale Faculty as Instructor in the Department of General Internal Medicine and member of the Academic Hospitalist Group in 2021. Her academic interests include residency career coaching, point of care ultrasound, and the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension. She is the co-founder of an NGO in the Dominican Republic that works to improve community health and build local capacity through a community health workers and chronic disease program. She also currently serves as co-medical director of the Yale medical student run HAVEN Free Clinic.
