Peyronie's Disease

Peyronie’s Disease is a benign condition that can result in physical changes to the penis, including curvature, shortening, narrowing, indentations, and discomfort, as well as problems with sexual function. It is usually a result of an injury, however, most patients do not remember a specific injury to their penis. An injury usually results in scar tissue or “lumps” in the penis that can be felt by the patient.

After a thorough review of medical history and a physical exam, further testing is generally recommended. This can include a duplex ultrasound with injection of an agent to initiate an erection in an office setting. This will allow thorough evaluation of the blood flow to the penis and the degree of curvature, so our experts are able to formulate a personalized plan that can resolve your condition. In most cases, Peyronie's Disease is treatable with observation, minimally-invasive treatments, or surgical repair.
