Movember is an annual initiative in the month of November that is dedicated to raising awareness for men’s health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s mental health. Since its humble beginnings in 2003 when two Australians decided to grow a moustache after being inspired by a breast cancer fundraiser, the Movember Foundation has empowered millions of men and women to join this global movement for men’s health.
During the month of November, men are challenged to grow - and women to support - a moustache, to make a commitment and be active for 30 minutes a day, or to get together for a Movember event. As of 2017, The Movember Foundation has funded more than 1,200 men's health projects since inception.
