Biography

Dr. Cavallo graduated with honors from Georgetown University with a bachelor of science degree in Biology. She earned her doctorate of medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Cavallo then received General Surgery residency training and a post-doctorate research fellowship at Washington University in Saint Louis School of Medicine. Dr. Cavallo earned a Master of Population Health Sciences degree (MPHS) from Washington University in Saint Louis and was the recipient of a National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded KM1 Comparative Effectiveness Research Career Development Award. She then completed her Urology residency training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, and her fellowship training in Male Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Massachusetts. Dr. Cavallo was recruited to join the faculty at Yale University School of Medicine with a joint appointment at Yale-New Haven Hospital and the West Haven Veterans' Affairs Medical Center in 2019, where she currently serves as Director of Male Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery.
