“Best Hospitals” Voting Now Open
Voting for the U.S. News & World Report 2025-2026 "Best Hospitals" ranking has begun on Doximity.com. I would like to once again express my gratitude to Dr. Jaime Cavallo for leading this important effort. Below [in the Announcements section], are more details on how to cast your vote.
FDAQ Must Be Completed
The Faculty Development Annual Questionnaire [FDAQ] was due Feb. 1. If you haven’t completed it yet, please do so as soon as possible, as it is an essential part of the annual review process.
Save the Date: AUA Alumni Reception
Please mark your calendars for Sunday, April 27, when we will host our annual Yale Urology Alumni Reception at the AUA. Alumni will receive a special Yale Urology bowtie or Twilly scarf. I look forward to seeing you there, proudly wearing your Yale attire. Detailed invitations will soon be sent.
New Resident Collaboration with University of Vienna
I am excited to announce that Yale Urology has been selected as one of only eight institutions to receive the Menon Academic Program award, a resident education grant. This prestigious award will allow us to sponsor two residents per year for five years in partnership with the University of Vienna. A special thank you to Dr. Shahrokh Shariat and the faculty at the University of Vienna for their collaboration on this initiative. At the end of each year, residents will travel to Vienna to present their research. Additional information on the application process will be shared soon.
We Matched!
Please join me in welcoming our three new residents who will start with us in June: Agustin Perez Londoño, Ashti Shah, and Cristofer Zillo. See their photos and the institutions they are coming from below [in the People section].
Finally, I echo the sentiment expressed by Dean Nancy J. Brown, MD, in her recent communication: we must remain focused on the important work we do. Our commitment to patients, research, and education will continue to steer us and help us thrive amidst any challenge.
Thank you.
