Ryan Levey, MD, formally joined the department, May 1, 2025, as an assistant professor. He will primarily serve patients in the Madison clinic as part of Yale's clinical urology-endourology division.

Levey comes from Greater Heights Urology Memorial Herman Medical Group in Houston, Texas.

He obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at the Medical School of South Carolina in Charleston.

Levey is passionate about improving provider processes and has worked on committees addressing everything from credentialing and peer reviews to implementing Electronic Medical Records. He has also first-authored various publications, posters, and presentations.

When not in the operating room, Levey enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, trying new cuisines and restaurants, watching sports, particularly football, personal fitness, running, and traveling.
