Daniel Kellner, MD, performs 250th HoLEP procedure

June 14, 2021

Daniel Kellner, MD, Associate Professor of Clinical Urology, recently performed his 250th Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) procedure.

HoLEP can bring relief to men who have been diagnosed with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or an enlarged prostate and have difficulties urinating. The minimally-invasive procedure often allows patients to go home the same day with minimal side effects.

“Now we are able to treat large prostates in a minimally-invasive way," said Dr. Kellner. "We’re filling a void in terms of treatment options for men with enlarged prostates.”
