Clinical Skills Suite
The newly renovated Clinical Skills Suite in the basement of Harkness Hall is designed to engage students and accommodate a variety of teaching and learning methods.

Faculty who facilitate our small group workshops using SPs are drawn from many departments across the medical school, as well as the physician associate program and nursing school.

If you have questions about hiring standardized patient actors or discussing how actors may be used in your classroom, please contact Dr. Andres Martin.

Requests must be made through the Standardized Patient Actor Request Form.

Please refer to the Checklist for Programs Requesting the Usage of Standardized Patients when planning sessions.

New Guidelines for SP Program Request Form

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, we need to plan differently for standardized patient requests in the upcoming 2020/2021 academic year.

For SP requests between July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: June 15, 2020*

The SP Program will review these requests and allocate resources whenever possible.

Requests will be addressed by July 15th to allow your program/department time to make accommodations if we are unable to meet your needs.

* If a program submits after 6/15/20, the request will be considered, but only after all other commitments have been fulfilled.

We appreciate your understanding of this change in policy and support of our SP Program. It is our intention to assist as many programs/departments as possible within the limitations of our resources.
