Life in New Haven

Yale New Haven Hospital is in the heart of downtown New Haven. Many residents live in downtown and are surrounded by restaurants and bars to go to after work. Whether driving, walking, biking or taking the free Yale shuttle, it is an easy commute to get in to work daily.

Connecticut is very lush and green, making it great for hiking at East Rock Park, West Rock Park and Sleeping Giant State Park. The Farmington Canal is an 84-mile long biking trail that runs through New Haven and many residents enjoy biking from the city into some of our neighboring towns.

New Haven is just a quick train ride away from Boston, New York City, Rhode Island, and Maine. On weekends, residents are able to take a quick getaway to a big city or the beaches of across Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Maine.
