Yale Medical Group congratulates 46 of its physicians who were included in New York magazine’s most recent annual “Best Doctors” issue. This year’s selection includes doctors who have been making the list for years, as well as some who are relatively new to Yale.
Castle Connolly Medical Ltd, a New York City research and information firm, determines the rankings based on a regional peer-review survey that asks thousands of licensed physicians to nominate the physicians who they think of as exceptional in their field and related fields, taking into account not only professional qualifications and reputation, but also skills in interacting with patients.
It’s important to remember that the list is designed to cover a diversity of specialties and geography, so it inevitably leaves out many outstanding doctors.
