Fifty students signed up for the vascular surgery interest group's surgical skills event last month — the first in-person rendition since pre-COVID. And while virtual reality goggles, and take-home suturing kits headlined the show, it was the opportunity for hands-on training with Department Faculty and Residents that drew the crowd.

“Nothing compares to in-person mentorship and the sense of community it brings,” said Keyuree Satam who co-leads the group with fellow medical student, Shin Mei Chan.
