Yale Surgery is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Peter Manes to the inaugural position of Medical Director for Ambulatory Operations for the Department. In his new role, Dr. Manes will play a key role in the growth and development of programs and initiatives across the Department of Surgery’s outpatient clinics.

“Ambulatory visits make up a significant portion of our clinical practice, and often represent the first-time a patient interfaces with our providers,” said Department of Surgery Chair, Dr. Nita Ahuja. “Having a faculty champion at the helm of our ambulatory growth will be critical to ensure consistency and efficiency of our services — not only for our patients, but for our physicians and staff.”

Dr. Manes is an Associate Professor in the Division of Otolaryngology and Program Director for the specialty’s residency program.

“It’s an honor to take on this role and to support my colleagues and our patients, not just in ENT, but across the surgical community. I look forward to improving access to our clinics, and the services we provide.”

Dr. Manes will report to Executive Vice Chair of Operations, Dr. Mehra Golshan, and work closely with leadership and faculty across the network.
