The Department of Surgery is pleased to announce that Geoffrey Nadzam, MD has been appointed Chair of Surgery at Lawrence & Memorial Healthcare, which includes both Lawrence & Memorial Hospital and Westerly Hospital.
“Dr. Nadzam’s experience, enthusiasm, and engagement with hospital medical staffs across the health system make him him the ideal choice to collaboratively lead and grow surgical services across our organization,” said Chief Medical Officer of L&M Healthcare, Dr. Oliver Mayorga.
As a member of the executive leadership team, Dr. Nadzam will participate in the strategy development, operational direction, and decision-making at the highest level of the organization.
“It is an honor to join the L&M team,” said Dr. Nadzam. “I look forward to the opportunity to inspire, mentor, develop, and provide direction for the staff and program areas across the surgical services.”

He brings two years’ experience as Site Director at Saint Raphael's Campus.

Dr. Nadzam will begin his new role on April 1, 2020.
