Dr. Doruk Ozgediz, Associate Professor of Pediatrics Surgery

Dr. Peter Yoo, Associate Professor of Transplant

“Your academic promotion is a testament to your tenacity and grit; and to your continued progress as surgeons, educators, researchers and leaders,” said Dr. Ahuja, in a toast. “A promotion is not a gift, it is an achievement. Congratulations, and well done.”

Faculty Advisory Committee leader Dr. Alan Dardik echoed Dr. Ahuja’s encouragement, in a speech that spoke to the magnitude of achievement represented by a promotion in rank.

“These faculty represent the paragon of academic surgeons. Their achievements represent sustained effort and dedication that has been recognized on a national and international level, making an impact on medicine and the care of patients. Promotion at Yale recognizes a faculty's impact in academia and predicts even great success in the future.”

Dr. Ahuja thanked the entire Faculty Advisory Committee for their commitment, including Drs. Alan Dardik, Dan Boffa, Ben Judson, Walter Longo, Ronnie Rosenthal, Ronnie Salem and Joe Santos Saachi and the Faculty Affairs Office.

Special thanks were extended to family and friends for their support.
